The cardioid polar pattern suppresses feedback and isolates the desired sound. It also includes 200Hz low cut and mid-high frequency boost switches, which can improve the sound clarity and presence. Dynamic microphones also record vocals very well, with a bit more of an intimate close up sound. A nice change from the typical large diaphragm condensers usually used.
